Article Submission Guidelines

Article Submission Guidelines

Our duty is to show the needlepoint public all the different types of needlepoint that are being created today. Here are our guidelines for submission of content to Needlepoint Now. You can submit an article about a project, a story about needlepoint, or a review of a needlepoint product.

Project Content

We need the actual piece. We will do the photography.

We need the story. Preferably in electronic format (Word files)

We need a stitch guide. We don't create the stitch guides for the pieces, we take your stitch guide notes and put them into our format. That means that you don't need to submit perfectly drawn computer files of each stitch. We can work from your sketches and we have have an extensive library of commonly used stitches. We need your verbal directions in an electronic format, your sketches or the name of the stitches used and where.

Material list. A materials list that includes only materials that are available on today's market.

Photo of Artist. Photography requirements .tiff or .jpg files at minimum resolution of 2.25" @ 300dpi

Bio of Artist. Preferably in electronic format (Word files) We will decide if we need to conduct a more indepth bio and call you for a phone interview if we need to.

Editorial Content

We need the story. Preferably in electronic format (Word files)

Photos of Subject. Photography requirements are .tiff or .jpg files at minimum resolution of 2.25" @ 300dpi

Review of Product

We need the product. We will do the photography.

We need the review. Preferably in electronic format (Word files)

Contributors grant Needlepoint Now a one-time right to publish.
